Uses of cemented carbide
First, as a cutting tool: cemented carbide can be used as a variety of cutting tools. The amount of cemented carbide used in cutting tools in my country accounts for about one-third of the total cemented carbide production, of which about 78% is used for welding tools and about 22% is used for indexable tools.
The second is geological mining tools: geological mining tools are also a major use of cemented carbide. Cemented carbide used in my country’s geology and mining accounts for about 25% of the total cemented carbide production, mainly used for impact rock drill bits, geological exploration drill bits, down-the-hole drills for mines and oil fields, roller drills, coal cutting machine teeth, building materials industry impact drills, etc.
As a mold: cemented carbide used as various molds accounts for about 8% of the total cemented carbide production, including wire drawing dies, cold heading dies, cold extrusion dies, hot extrusion dies, hot forging dies, forming dies, and drawing tube core rods, such as long core rods, spherical core rods, floating core rods, etc. In the past decade, the use of various cemented carbide rollers for rolling wire has increased rapidly. Cemented carbide for rollers in my country has accounted for 3% of the total cemented carbide production.
Processed into wear-resistant parts: Wear-resistant parts made of cemented carbide include nozzles, guide rails, plungers, balls, tire anti-skid spikes, snowplow plates, etc.
